While we may not enjoy experiencing anger, sadness, fear, or disgust, this range of emotions helps make us complex, empathetic, and empowered individuals. We learn from our negative experiences as well as our positive ones. It is through experiencing sadness that we recognize and appreciate joy. It is through the experience of anger eating away at us that we work for peace. Fear and disgust show what we wish to turn away from, revealing what we wish to turn toward. Today, seek to notice the emotions you are experiencing, and let them be your teachers, bringing insight and awareness into your heart and mind.
