To Live. To Inspire. To Breathe. To Change. This, to me, is the power of yoga. Now, while I practice daily at home or by the pool, nothing inspires me more than to share, learn, and explore various yoga practices with my fellow yogis. But, where else do I have the opportunity to do this outside of the studios?
Thanks to a brilliant mind and entrepreneur of his kind, Kyle Michaud founded Experience Expositions as the leading operator of business-to-consumer festivals. Annually, 10 North American festivals focused on sustainability and positive, healthy living are produced. These include Green Planet Festival, The Yoga Expo, and South Florida VegFest, all of which speak to Michaud’s vision of connecting eco-conscious consumers with green business.
The Yoga Expo, more specifically, welcomes Yogis of all experience levels to attend and practice in one of the seven cities where the festival currently takes place The first Yoga Expo was held in Los Angeles this past January, and my heart was breaking from Taiwan because I missed it! Over 11,000 attendees came out, making it the largest festival of its’ kind, where master teachers traveled from around the globe.
For those unfamiliar with this festival, The Yoga Expo offers classes and workshops to strengthen the yoga community, and allows individuals to explore practices and taste sustainable foods and beverages. I’ll be attending their upcoming events at Santa Clara and Los Angeles throughout 2016, but for those outside of this area, make sure to check out their upcoming schedule and share your practice with other yogis in your city!
- Fort Lauderdale – April 16th
- Santa Clara – July 24th
- Washington D.C. – August 20th
- Denver – September 3rd
- Houston – September 10th
- Vancouver – October 1st-2nd
- Los Angeles – December 17th
Now, for my yogis in and near Fort Lauderdale, The Yoga Expo is coming to you on April 16th. This will be an experience of a lifetime that will feature over 150 classes and 100+ vendors including top brands in the yoga community! You do not want to miss this! So get your ticket here and yoga on!
That’s all I have for today’s post! And, to part, I leave with a quote by Michaud, “Yoga is a method to turn inwards and reflect.” Namaste.
